  • Behavior data: When analytics are enabled, Microsoft Clarity may collect information about how you interact with the website, such as pages visited, scrolling behavior, clicks, and general engagement with text and layout. This data is used to improve website design and content.
  • Advertising & conversion data: When advertising cookies are enabled, Google Ads may collect information used to measure ad performance and conversions, such as whether a visit or action followed an ad click.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK/Switzerland)

Personal data is processed based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

3. How Data Is Used

Information collected through ClarityVesting is used to:

4. Sharing Data

ClarityVesting does not sell personal information. Data may be shared with the following third-party service providers:

  • Ghost: User account and subscription data are stored securely by Ghost, a third-party service provider (Ghost Privacy Policy). Ghost acts as a data processor on behalf of ClarityVesting.
  • Basin / Contact Form: Messages submitted via the contact form are processed and stored by Basin, a third-party service provider (Basin Privacy Policy) to deliver them to the ClarityVesting mailbox. To prevent spam, the contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which may set cookies on your device in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare: Provides security, performance, and related services, and may set cookies for these purposes (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
  • Microsoft Clarity: Provides website analytics and behavior insights, including session recordings and engagement metrics, to help improve layout and content (Microsoft Privacy Statement, Microsoft Clarity Terms). Microsoft acts as a data processor for this analytics service.
  • Google Ads: Provides advertising and conversion measurement using the Google tag (gtag.js). When enabled, Google may process data related to ad clicks, conversions, and related advertising measurement in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and Google Business Data Responsibility materials.

5. Data Retention

  • User accounts and subscription data are retained while your account is active.
  • Analytics and behavior data collected through Microsoft Clarity are retained according to Microsoft Clarity's retention settings and policies.
  • Advertising and conversion data processed through Google Ads are retained according to Google's retention settings and policies.
  • Aggregate or anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analysis purposes.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Cookies and similar technologies are used to:

  • Enable subscription and login functionality.
  • Prevent spam and abuse on the contact form via Basin and Google reCAPTCHA.
  • Ensure website security and performance via Cloudflare.
  • Analyze website behavior and engagement via Microsoft Clarity, where enabled.
  • Measure advertising performance and conversions via Google Ads, where enabled.

Types of cookies used:

  • Essential cookies: Required for core site functionality and security features. These cannot be disabled without affecting website operation.
  • Non-essential / analytics cookies: Microsoft Clarity may set cookies to measure usage, record interactions, and generate analytics reports. These cookies are not essential for core site functionality.
  • Non-essential / advertising cookies: Google Ads may set cookies (via the Google tag) to measure ad performance and conversions. These cookies are not essential for core site functionality.
  • Other third-party cookies: Basin, Google reCAPTCHA, and Cloudflare may also set cookies for functionality, security, and related purposes.

Microsoft Clarity may collect behavior data such as page views, scroll depth, clicks, and session replays. This information is used to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its design and content. ClarityVesting does not use Microsoft Clarity to collect payment details, passwords, or other sensitive account credentials.

Google Ads may collect advertising and conversion data such as whether you arrived from a Google ad and whether certain actions on the site occurred after that visit. This information is used to measure advertising effectiveness. ClarityVesting does not use Google Ads cookies to collect payment details, passwords, or other sensitive account credentials.

Consent:

  • In the EU, UK, Switzerland, and EEA, a cookie consent prompt is shown before Microsoft Clarity and Google Ads are enabled. Analytics and advertising cookies are only activated if you accept.
  • If you decline these cookies, Microsoft Clarity and Google Ads are not loaded, and no Clarity analytics cookies or Google Ads advertising/conversion cookies are set for that browser through those tags.
  • Essential and other third-party cookies described above may still be used as needed for site functionality, security, and spam prevention.
  • You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, but some features of the site (for example, the contact form or security features) may not work properly if certain cookies are blocked.
  • To withdraw consent for Microsoft Clarity analytics and Google Ads, clear the site data or local storage for ClarityVesting in your browser, or use your browser's cookie controls, then reload the page and decline when prompted.

Security practices are reviewed regularly to maintain appropriate safeguards. While ClarityVesting strives to protect your information, no system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Age Restrictions & Children

ClarityVesting is intended only for users who are 18 or older, or who have reached the minimum age required in their country. Personal information is not knowingly collected from younger users, and any such data collected without parental consent will be deleted promptly.

This policy may be updated occasionally. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.

ClarityVesting is accessible worldwide. This Privacy Policy primarily addresses users in Switzerland, the EU, UK, and California. Other U.S. residents may have limited rights under state law, which vary by state. If you access the website from other countries, please be aware that local data protection laws may differ.
